A Reminder

October 1, 2006

A simple word of advice for anyone who wants something from me (if you’re not one of my good friends- you’ll know who you are):

Say “PLEASE” and “THANKS.”

Seriously.  I don’t care how callous you are of a person.  Don’t act like you’re good enough to just ask for something without saying these things.  I know it’s a stupid thing to complain about, but it’s only because I myself say those things whenever I ask for something.  The first time a person asks me for something without saying “please,” I try to get it in their mind that they should.  It’s alright a couple of times; I know it slips a person’s mind.  But when they do this repeatedly, and I still try to tell them, then it starts to get on my nerves.  It doesn’t matter if you’ve been nice to me a few times, offering me things.  I still say “thank you,” and so should you.  Just rememeber:  You’re not good enough to ask me for something without being polite, you moron.
